Even if Kaiserstuhl has long been extinct as a volcano, our grape varieties benefit from the unique 'volcanic rock' soil formation spread throughout Germany. Due to the importance of this type of soil for our wines, we have dedicated a whole wine series to the volcanic rock.
The wines of the 'volcanic soil' series are aromatic and simple. Light, berry-fruity Pinot Noirs, fruity Müller-Thurgau wines or aromatic wines of the Scheurebe and muscatel grape varieties are just a few of the flagship wines which belong to this wine series.
